Exploring ways to make your Disney wishes come true.
I've wanted to create a site like this for a while as Disney World Florida is and has been my absolute favourite holiday destination for a very long time. I was so lucky to visit Disney World three times as a youngster back in the 90's and 00's for me. For me, it's never lost its appeal.
Now that I have three of my own children, its become our number one place to visit for family holidays and we've had some absolutely magical times together exploring the Disney parks as well as the wider "Sunshine State" of Florida. As my family have grown and travel has become increasingly more expensive, I've had to consider new and everchanging ways to keep costs down.
No two holidays to Disney are ever the same for us. In the past we've taken the easiest options and flown directly from our local airport straight to Orlando, while on other occasions we've taken multi-step trips including indirect flights (via Timbuktu) followed by a 5 hour drive to get there. Okay, so Timbuktu is a slight exaggeration... but the fact is, over the years, I've explored lots and lots of cost-effective ways of travelling from Durham, England to Orlando, Florida.
And once there, as a family of five, we've found lots of ways to keep costs to a minimum-from car hire, villa rentals, park tickets, food shopping and eating out. It occurred to me recently that I would love to take the time to be able to gather together and share these little (and often big) money-saving tips to help other families plan their own adventure of a lifetime on a budget.
My ultimate goal is to give anyone who has longed to go to Disney but believed it to be out of their reach, some different cost-effective options that might help them to make their Disney wishes come true.
I really hope you enjoy exploring this site and that you find some ideas to help you plan your own amazing Disney holiday on a budget.
